I am not a merlot drinker I guess I should say that first and foremost! I enjoy tasting all wines but have always found merlots to be very dry for my taste. This one is not dry at all. It has a fruity undertone that provides a light sweetness wihtout losing the body and richness of a merlot. It is truly an amazing wine. I was given this as a gift for my wedding and was discouraged to see it was a merlot. I thought I would not be able to enjoy it, so I opeped it for a dinner party and had a glass so I could thank the person that gave it to me and behold, it was wonderful!!
